Democrats keep both chambers of the New Mexico legislature

In the Senate, Democrats hold or lead 26 seats and Republicans 16, against 26 and 16 before.

In the House, Democrats hold or lead 47 seats and Republicans 23, against 43 and 26 before. Five seats are led by another party than held them.

Leaders in the count from civicAPI (counts aggregated from official state and county results), not called winners. A close seat can still change.

One dot per seat, 42 in all; a party across the line holds a majority. No seat changes hands.

Before: 26–16. With the leaders elected: 26–16, every seat not on the ballot as it was and every seat on it to the party leading the count.
